The Education Committee
The Luleå Student Union’s education committee takes care of issues regarding education and educational quality. The Luleå Student Union believes that everyone should receive the best education possible with a clear connection to working life and teachers who are pedagogical and well-educated in their field. To achieve these goals, the Luleå Student Union works daily within parts of the university to promote the students’ voice. If you encounter a problem, we are there to support you.
When you have an education-related problem, report it to utbildningsbevakning.se. We work with educational issues at Luleå Studentkår. The Chief Education Officer (HUB) has the main responsibility for educational issues in the union. HUB handles education monitoring from the central level, through the sections and down to the program councils. Towards LTU, HUB is the one who represents in matters concerning studies and educational quality. HUB also has overall responsibility for the Student Mentors project and is responsible for awarding the Teacher of the Year award.
Utbildningsbevakning.se
We are responsible for education monitoring towards the university. This means that we keep an eye on the education programs that belong to us and ensure that they maintain their high quality. Part of this work is done via the reporting system utbildningsbevakning.se, where you as a student can report a matter when you feel that something has not gone right within your education.
As a student, you have a number of rights and obligations – and we ensure that Luleå University of Technology keeps its promises so that you have the best possible time studying.
Students rights and obligations – LTU’s points
The information below is a fraction of the rules that LTU itself has decided to make things better for students. Every student has the right to what is stated in full and has the right to talk to their teacher or examiner if this is not met.
More information can be found at: Student rights and obligations at LTU.
If you feel that LTU has not met your rights, as a student under the Faculty of Philosophy, you should report this to us at Luleå Studenkår. You can report all education-related problems to utbildningsbevakning.se.
